Fish and Fishery products for export market

Fish was processed to the export market as two types

  • Whole fish (Fresh, chilled and Frozen)
  • Filleted (Fresh, chilled and Frozen)

From large number of available fish species in Indian Ocean, very few species selected (depending on the demand) to export. The most demanded varieties include Tuna, Marlin, Sword Fish and some varieties of Exotic fish which are having the huge demand in international market.

TUNA

       Tuna is very rich in protein, vitamin D, omega-3 fatty acids and it can be easily prepared. Tuna meat is a very delicious and very healthy meat which has a very high demand by the food lovers all around the world. There are many delicious recipes of tuna such as Balsamic Glazed Tuna, Grilled Tuna Terriyaki, Satay Tuna, Grilled Citrus Fresh Tuna, etc which hunted the mouth of sea food lovers.
        Most demanded members of Tuna family includes Blue fin tuna (Thunnus thynnus), Big eye tuna (Thunnus obesus) and Yellow fin tuna (Thunnus albacares). Tuna can get as large as 6 feet and 300 pounds. The average size of tuna is 60 to 100 pounds whole. They are found oceans all over the world, usually in deeper waters. Tuna fish is more plentiful during the summer, but is available year round. Our wild tuna is primarily caught in boats by using long line.

Tuna Loins

       Fresh Tuna loins are considered “grill grade” and are best suited for cooking.



Sword Fish
      Firm texture, light meat with moderate flavor. Extra lean fish.



Mahi- Mahi
        Firm texture, light, sweetly moist meat with solid flake and moderate flavor. Extra lean fish.


Other than those described above, there are vast range of REEF FISH available for export as whole fish.
